On December 16th, the summit of ECOWAS heads of state with Morocco will be opened under the Togolese presidency as 16th member.
The crisis that has plagued his country for four months should not escape the discussions in prospect. Dialogue with his opposition struggling to start. Faure Gnassingbé has been doing the round since the beginning of the crisis, even leaving classrooms for his reception in cities in the interior of the country, just to show the world that he is a beloved president and close to the people.

It is in this context that Faure Gnassingbé, the head of high appearance, appears alongside his peers in ECOWAS. According to GDP by purchasing power, Togo comes in 12th position in the community with a PPP GDP of 10,667 CFA francs.
