Faure to the rescue of young Togolese: Another failure of TOMEGAH-DOGBE

Very soon, Faure Gnassingbé will go to meet the Togolese youth. This is one of the key points to remember from the Head of State's New Year speech. It will be for the President of the Republic to exchange with the latter, the bedrock of the future of the country, the difficulties it faces, to arrive at a lasting solution. This approach in view, although salutary, hides in fact, the failure of the policy in favor of youth and Youth Employment whose promotion has been entrusted to the Minister Victoire Dogbe for almost a decade.

Togolese youth ... Faure to the rescue!

"In the coming months, I will have with them (Editor's note: young people), a meeting to discuss the projects that I intend to implement," announced the President of the Republic. And it will be time for reflection around the themes not least. "... I remain convinced that the solutions most relevant to the issues of education, employment and the integration of young people are those that are nourished by their own reflections and contributions".

Specifically, the President of the Republic intends to discuss, with young people, from time to time, the projects at the heart of his five-year vision 2015-2020. It will be, he listed, the reward of merit schooling, empowerment or support for entrepreneurship. For example, the Head of State "considers, for example, that the award of public contracts reserves a quota of up to 20% for young entrepreneurs and women, who will also benefit from reduced procedures", announced Faure Gnassingbé in his speech. All a symbolic. The lines seem to move, are we tempted to hope. But then ...

A latent failure ... Victory Dogbe back to the bar!

If many still fear an umpteenth announcement effect, as was the case in January 2017, with the Estates General of Education that have never been held, this solemn commitment of the Head of State to go, him - even the meeting of the Togolese youth seems to hide a failure named "Sidemeho Victoire Dogbé".

Indeed, in order to give a new meaning to the governmental action, the Togolese State instituted since 2008, under a regime of delegated ministry, then become full ministry since 2010, the Ministry of Development at the Base, of Handicrafts, Youth and Youth Employment, based on the paradigm of community access to the common minimum vital, through grassroots development and inclusion. With an annual budget of $ 10 billion to $ 21 billion over the last five years, this department, whose management is entrusted to the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé, is responsible for structuring and supporting communities at the Base, promoting financial inclusion,

In addition, this department's mission is to implement actions aimed at meeting the basic needs of the poorest populations in Togo, both in rural areas and in urban and peri-urban areas.

Since then, only projects, funding ... From the National Volunteer Program (Provonat) to Faij through the Fnfi and its subprojects Apsef, Ajsef, etc. many are the billion-dollar programs that have finally been just trompe-oeil projects. There are so many stupendous figures to be published, published by the sounding boxes that are fed by those whose valets ironically call "Mom". Today Faure Gnassingbé highlighted red the real he has ruminated until then. No real impact of the billions entrusted to Dame Sidemeho on the daily lives of young Togolese who continue to pull the devil by the tail. Otherwise why the opposition manages to fill the street so quickly, except that the ministry responsible for reducing poverty at the base has gone beyond its mission.
Fear in the belly !

Visibly aware of the consequences of this failure, the Head of State seems to decide to change the situation. The replacement, in September 2017, of Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé by Ms. Mazamesso Assih, at the head of the National Fund for Inclusive Finance (Fnfi), thus gave reason to critics who no longer believe in the circus well maintained by the native of Badougbé . The fire on the buttocks and visibly cornered by the arrival at the Presidency of Reckykia Madougou (Editor's note: former minister of small and medium sized enterprises named Advisor Faure Gnassingbe), the former official of the United Nations reactivated its tracks of "flat- warmed up "with guided tours in the field, the inspection of development projects at the base, signatures of partnerships, travel opportunities for young people abroad ... unfortunately,

Of any analysis made, the announcement of this presidential meeting with young people proves to the satisfaction that Faure wants to break with mirage to discover, himself, the truth of the ground. A reality often disguised through pompous foras but actually muddy that brought nothing to the Togolese youth. With this meeting, it is to believe that Victoire Dogbé seems once again in the hot seat. As last September, will it still lose the hand, in this other field of social policy? The coming days will situate us.

Ibeji (Twins) In Yoruba land, one of the most important things done when a child is born is to give the child a name. It is following confrontations occurred during the mood swings of the 08 and 09 February.  These workers, very dissatisfied with their dismissal, say they do not stop there. According to Gavor Kodjo, Secretary General of SOECTRAB who defends the workers dismissed by this Chinese company, the reasons why the Chinese company returns workers on construction sites do not hold water. They are often assigned to workplaces without being paid for the housing or tra
