Komi Selom Klassou, Prime Minister
A return to the constitution of 1961 under the system of the presidential mandate of 7 years, renewable for life; it is the will of a government "resolutely engaged in the project of reforms under the leadership of the head of state" as the motions of the ruling party chant. But according to the head of the government, this was not Faure Gnassingbe's initial plan, it was just because the opposition refused to implement the reforms.
Komi Klassou in Notsè on Sunday, was clear on the issue of reforms. No retroactivity of the law, the counters are set to zero and Faure Gnassingbe will have two new mandates, or the regime will "impose" the reign for life with a return to the constitution according to the independences (1961).
In short, there was a dialogue in 2014 between the parliamentary parties, which dealt with articles 50 and 60, on limiting the number of presidential terms and the voting system. Here a part of the opposition had demanded retroactivity, hence the misunderstanding pretext in a motion, thus taunting its audience that the opposition would be at the origin of the status quo on the subject of the reforms.
And yet, Faure Gnassingbe has always claimed his desire to make the reforms, constantly investing in commissions and workshops, supposedly to refine a project of scientific and consensual reforms. The same regime which refuses to focus the debate on a person, comes to demand that Faure Gnassingbe still presents for two (02) mandates, or one does not make reforms
"the President of the Republic is elected by vote for seven (2): the President shall be elected by the first-past-the-post system. has hammered Komi Klassou in Notsè, quoting the constitution of 1961 in which he finds henceforth and suddenly interest.
This speech confirms that from the APG to the CVJR via the workshop of the HCRRUN on the reforms in July 2016, without forgetting the famous and recent commission of Mrs. Awa-Nana Daboya, Faure Gnassingbé would have orchestrated a diversion (fed on dozens of lives lost during demonstrations), billions of taxpayers squandered to the happiness of state tourist escapades disguised as reforms.
True to the Mi'kmaq game, the Head of the Government in accordance with "the firm instructions of the Head of State", wanted to dribble the public again in a semblance of call for dialogue.
When called to dialogue, it is with a well-established agenda that an invitation is sent to the opposing party, said Tikpi Atchadam leader of the PNP last week.
The UNIR party and the government synchronized, talk about dialogue without ever taking the initiative. They are running towards the referendum, other elections, to perpetuate the cycle of elections-protests-repressions and deaths of men-opaque governance-elections!
