On Sunday, 1 October 2017, Prime Minister Togolese Komi Selom Klassou organized a meeting in Notse, in favor of the referendum of the constitution proposed by the National Assembly and the non-retroactivity of the law. He had also declared his support for the return of the 1961 constitution.
In an introductory statement written by Klassou and read on this occasion, Mr. Klassou states that the "valiant populations of Haho" in their ethnic and religious diversity have declared their firm commitment to the "sides of Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé democratically elected by the Togolese people "And encouraged him to continue his mission for the benefit of all Togolese.
It should be noted that Mr. Klassou is not a native of Notse Haho). This is why We, the Diaspora of Notse (Haho) nationals:
- understand very badly that an allogene can speak on behalf of the populations of Notse (Haho)
- denounce and condemn Mr. Klassou's false statement o denounce and condemn with the utmost energy the instrumentalisation of our parents, grandparents or even great-grandparents for the purposes of conserving power by Faure Gnassingbe, his family and his clan .
- denounce and condemn with the utmost energy the violence and assassination perpetrated by the Togolese military against the valiant peoples of Togo
- ask the children of Notse (Haho), wherever they are, to join the Togolese people in demanding the return of the Constitution of 1992 and the vote of the diaspora.
Given the Togolese Government's unwillingness to make constitutional and institutional reforms, we send a vibrant and solemn appeal to all men of good will, including all the children of Togo: girls, boys, students, civil servants 2 of the public administration, teachers, researchers, employees of the private sector, doctors, pharmacists, lawyers and other liberal professions ... To join the Togolese opposition and support any action aimed at restoring a genuine rule of law Togo and to defend the social, economic, cultural and political interests of the Togolese people. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
We thank all the women and men who participate in the struggle with the Togolese opposition.
We invite all to join in the decisive action, so that nothing is as before on the land of our ancestors!
