First of all, I take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to your honorable presence at this ceremony. The Islamic Republic of Iran maintains good bilateral relations with Togo and intends to strengthen this relationship particularly in the economic, commercial and scientific.

We celebrate the 39th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran at a time when the shrub of the Islamic Revolution has become a stable and fertile tree despite four decades of strong storms and successive episodes.

As a movement aimed at rejecting internal despotism and foreign domination and realizing freedom, justice and independence, the Islamic Revolution has succeeded in setting up the Republic system ", thus opening a new era characterized by the participation and voting of people in the sense of promoting the national will in the country. And this path has continued until now.

The achievement of genuine political independence and the establishment of democracy are among the important achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran, through which significant achievements such as the implementation of the principles of democracy have been achieved. granting political rights to citizens, respect for gender equality by promoting women's social participation, respect for the rights of minorities, scientific growth in various fields of medicine, nanotechnology and technology. industry, improving economic growth and taking distance from the oil dependent mono-economy, reducing the share of oil in the state budget, strengthening the private sector and encouraging investment foreign.

According to global economic indices, Iran is today ranked the 18th most efficient economy in the world. On the same basis and in the interest of establishing and implementing democracy, important achievements have been accomplished by the Islamic Republic of Iran,
including the holding of free elections and the attention given to the principle of power based on citizens' votes.

Since the advent of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, no less than 40 free national elections have been held in the country with the strong participation of voters qualified to vote. In the most recent presidential election held on May 16, 2017, Iran experienced a participation rate of 73%. At the end of this election, the Iranian people by re-electing Dr. Hassan Rohani, reiterated his desire to continue the approach of moderation and interaction on a large scale with the countries of the world. The signing of the "nuclear deal" is not only an eloquent confirmation of the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to interact with the international system, but is also a successful example of international interaction and multilateral diplomacy encompassing the interests of all stakeholders; But it can even serve as a model for solving other international crises.

It should be recalled that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the preservation of the Global Plan of Joint Action as a necessity to realize the interests and security of the international community and to ensure respect for international commitments. The IAEA's repeated audits have so far been a legal and indisputable confirmation in this regard.

While pursuing its policy of interaction with the international system, the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks to deepen its international relations in order to contribute to the solution of complicated regional and international problems, particularly in the region.
Western Asia, with collective participation. Dealing with issues and collective issues deserves collective participation. In today's globalized world, where the interests of countries are closely intertwined, the realization of the interests of each country depends on the recognition and realization of those of other countries. One of the major problems in our region is the scourge of terrorism, which has endangered the West Asian region in recent years.

Even though Daesh's most important incarnation of terrorism in recent years has declined and suffered major defeats, yet the danger of terrorism, in the form of radical groups, still weighs on the international community affecting not only Western Asia but also Europe, America and the Far East. Iran has played a leading role in the fight against this despicable phenomenon and remains engaged in the fight against terrorism. To this end, the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that defeating terrorism requires collective action and serious and comprehensive cooperation, while taking into account the collective interests of the international community. While assuming an effective role in the fight against terrorism,

Within this framework and given the current context of our region, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made proposals and recommendations including the following: continue the national talks, adopt a comprehensive vision on the issue of regional security, work for establish "sustainable security" in the region by emphasizing the paradigm of the "strong region" and the security network "and take collective action in this regard, including through the establishment of a" Regional Forum for the Persian Gulf Talks " As an influential member of the world of Islam, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always followed, as a fundamental concern, the injustice inflicted on the Palestinian people, and considers the restoration of the rights of this people as a major factor in achieving sustainable security in the region.

I take the opportunity and invoke God the Almighty to grant the government and the noble people of Togo success, prosperity and happiness Long live Togo Long live the Islamic Republic of Iran.
