Will the work of the "Lomé 218" dialogue continue on Friday 23 February 2018 as planned? This is the question that lurks some observers after the statement of Eric Dupuy, in charge of the Communication of the National Alliance for Change (ANC), on Thursday on Victoire FM.
While the national and international opinion await a continuation of the "Lomé 2018" talks started on Monday, the ANC member of the coalition of 14 opposition party is intractable on the record of charges in the case of fires of major markets of Lomé and Kara. Media outlets of the leaders of the Orange party (For now we do not know if the ANC reasons not the coalition) augur a tense atmosphere this Friday night when the resumption of work.
Speaking Thursday on Victoire FM, Jean-Pierre Fabre's right-hand man welcomed the provisional release of six people arrested in 2013-2014 as part of the Lomé and Kara market fires.
But for Eric Dupuy, this temporary release is not a guarantee. These people, including Jean-Pierre Fabre (also indicted on the same file), run the risk of being still in jail in the context of the same case of market fires.
"It's a good thing that our brothers are released. Now, that's not all. These people always have the sword of Damocles on their heads. Since they are not fully released, they are provisionally released and the charges are on everyone, including the leader of the opposition, "he said.
According to him, Jean-Pierre Fabre wants to take all possible precautions to avoid the unpleasant surprises of the RPT-UNIR regime. And in order to wash the fires of the markets completely in this case, he is asking for a full and proper trial. "He is ready to appear before a court as soon as possible," said the ANC Communications Officer.
And to continue by threatening, "either he is summoned, he is judged and he takes part in the dialogue, where he is not judged, he is always charged. In which case, he will not participate in the dialogue ".
In any case, it remains to be seen if this last-minute complaint will find satisfaction. When we know that the talks between the government and the opposition will resume in a few hours under the leadership of the Ghanaian facilitator, Nana Akufo-Addo.
