NPP SG arrested, Atchadam calls Fabre to boost mobilization

In a message to the Togolese yesterday, the President of the Pan-African National Party (PNP) invited opposition leader Jean-Pierre Fabre to amplify the demonstrations in order to obtain what the people want.

PNP demonstrations continued on Sunday, notably in Sokodé and Lomé.

In Sokodé, it was a real hunt for the man that the populations assisted. The demonstrators gathered once again when the security forces and the military began a punitive expedition by beating people into their homes. We are talking about several arrests.

In Lomé, PNP Secretary General Dr Kossi Sama was arrested on Sunday. "The Secretary General of the party, Dr. Kossi Sama has just been arrested for an unknown destination," Tikpi Atchadam said in his message yesterday.

He condemned the violence of the security forces and made a new assessment of the situation. He spoke of several dozens of his militants arrested in Kara, Anié, Noepe and Sokodé. They are believed to be held in isolated centers where they are subjected to torture.

But it invites the Togolese people to maintain the pressure. For this, he asks the leader to react for the liberation of the people.

"I ask on behalf of the Togolese people, the leader of the opposition, Jean-Pierre Fabre to take necessary measures in the direction of the amplification of the movements inside and outside the country. The Togolese people call us, you have to answer, and I know that you will answer, "he told the opposition leader.

Ibi Ugwu (Male Circumcision) In Igbo Land

The act of circumcising babies in Igbo land is an ancient culture and tradition of the Igbo people which has its origin from their traditional religions. “Circumcision is the act of removing female genitalia, or a simple fold of skin (foreskin and prepuce) that covers the head of an un-erect penis”. The circumcision of male babies (Ibi Ugwu) in Igbo land is done on the 8th day after birth. This is done by experts in the act, like midwives and native doctors (in modern day, physicians carry out this operation). During circumcision, the fore skin that covers the head of the penis is cut off and the operated part is treated to heal quickly and to prevent any form of infection. Male circumcision (Ibi Ugwu) takes five to seven day to heal up. Meanwhile, some Igbos circumcis...

John XII: The Pope who turned the Vatican to a Whorehouse

Octavianus was only 18 years old when he ascended the Papacy of the Roman Catholic Church and became Pope John XII on December 16, 955. He was the only son of Duke Alberic II (932–954) of Spoleto, then ruler of Rome. Alberic, before his death in 954, made Roman nobles swear at St. Peter's altar that they would make his son, Octavianus, pope at the first vacancy. Since the leaders loved the dying father, they kept their word to him and elected Octavianus as the 130th Roman Catholic Pope succeeding Pope Agapetus II after the pope’s death on November 8, 955. Octavianus adopted the apostolic name of John XII. He was the third pontiff to take a regnal name upon elevation to the papal chair; the first being Pope John II (533–535), whose birth name was Mercurius and the second, Pope John III (561–574), whose birth name was Catelinus. Right from the start, in relation to secular issues, the new pope issued his directives under the name of Octavianus, while in all matters relating t...
