A mini summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is being prepared to discuss the political situation in Togo.
The summit will be held in Monrovia (Liberia) on the sidelines of the swearing-in ceremonies of the new democratically elected president, Georges Weah.
According to indiscretions, the two mediators, the Ghanaian Nana Akufo-Addo and the Guinean Alpha Conde, are ready to snatch compromises of Togolese power.
They are supported by the other heads of state of the community, including Beninese Patrice Talon and Burkinabe Rock Christian Marc Kaboré who are added to the mediation at the last ECOWAS summit in Abuja.
We learn, according to our sources, that these heads of state are ready to give their position clearly in relation to the political crisis in Togo, during this mini summit.
Faure Gnassingbé, current president of ECOWAS, is expected at this mini summit.
