A delegation of the Coalition of 14 opposition parties will meet the mediators of the Togolese political crisis in Conakry (Guinea) and Accra (Ghana) today and tomorrow.
The delegation is composed of Jean-Pierre Fabre, Leader of the Opposition and President of the National Alliance for Change (ANC), Tikpi Atchadam of the Pan-African National Party (PNP), Paul Dodji Apevon of the Democratic Forces for the Republic (FDR), Brigitte Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson, Coordinator of the Coalition and Secretary General of the Democratic Convention of the African Peoples (CDPA) and Aimé Gogué of the Alliance of Democrats for Integral Development (ADDI).
It is a question of going to share, today with Conakry with Alpha Conde and tomorrow with Nana Akufo-Addo with Accra, of the current situation of Togo. Especially the refusal of Faure Gnassingbe's regime to open the dialogue for a solution to the crisis.
The delegation will also inform the mediators of the regime's claim to hold elections in this crisis atmosphere instead of seeking ways and means to resolve it first.
According to the information, the two mediators, Alpha Conde and Nana Akufo-Addo, are preparing to ask the power of Lomé to soften its position, privileging dialogue, with the satisfaction of the measures of appeasement.
