This Wednesday, March 21, 2018 is held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union (AU) which will be mainly devoted to the signing of the protocol of institution establishing the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) .
The Togolese Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé, current President of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, will not miss this international meeting.
During this summit convened by Rwandan President Paul Kagame, AU's current Chair, African leaders will lay the groundwork for the CFTA, which is one of the priority areas of the African Union's Agenda 2063.
It will also be question for these African heads of state to find ways and means to facilitate trade between the 54 countries that abound the black continent.
ZLEC, this ambitious project delivered in June 2015 at a summit of the African Union, carries with it a vision of development of the African continent over the next 5 decades based on inclusive growth and sustainable development.
