The President of the Republic aims to build a reference health center in Lome. François Kampatib, a member of ADDI, asks that the CHUs of the country be equipped with quality materials.
The promise of Faure Gnassingbe to create, in the coming months, a reference health center passes badly in the opinion. For the simple reason that existing hospitals lack everything to function normally.
This is the opinion of opposition MP Francois Kampatib who believes that the executive wants to try to make Togolese believe that he "is now concerned about their health," he regrets on a radio station .
According to him, the country already has three reference health centers including those of Sylvanus Olympio, CHU Campus and CHU Kara. "Now you have to equip them," he recommends.
He added: "Lomé does not need another hospital, we need to make the Sylvanus Olympio and Campuses functional. We must make the existing functional ".
The Honorary President of the Alliance of Democrats for Integral Development (ADDI) calls on the government to "devote only 15% of the national budget" to the health sector so that all problems are resolved.
In Togo, public hospitals are not modern. Many liken them to dying. The Union of Hospital Practitioners of Togo (SYNPHOT) claim for better working conditions and life. Currently its members are on a dry strike.
