Bassar and Doufelgou sensitized on a child's right to identity

After the birth of a child, the parents have 45 days to declare it to the registry office. This is what the NGO Creuset Togo wants to inculcate the populations of Bassar and Doufelgou. There are many of them in these two prefectures, those parents who ignore this first piece of identity, which every child is entitled to.

With these populations, a contract was signed. Contract which stipulates awareness sessions on the right of each child to an identity and the systematic registration of births within 45 days.

Thus the populations of these communities undertake to carry out activities on the right of children to an identity. Endogenous mechanisms for the systematic registration of births and forensic audiences will be carried out in collaboration with the courts and civil registration centers to establish birth certificates for children who do not have them.

Togo now has its plan to combat land degradation

Land degradation is a reality in Togo. According to figures put forward by the Ministry of the Environment, each year 4.14% of the land (nationally) succumb to the phenomenon.
