Fiber optics is required to obtain a building permit

Wednesday was held a workshop on the digital development of Togolese territory. It was in the presence of Cina Lawson and Fiatuwo K. Sessenou, respectively ministers of Posts and Digital Economy and the one of Urbanism, Habitat and the Framework of Life.

After a 6-month study by Idate to adjust the digital issues to the needs of expansion of the territory, a national broadband deployment strategy was put in place, with an operational plan and a Master Plan for Digital Development (SDAN).

From the numerous recommendations made, it emerges that any new building must be subjected to the prior deployment of the optical fiber on the premises.

This recommendation, according to Minister Fiatuwo Sessenou, will be incorporated into the draft decree on building permits under development.

Togo now has its plan to combat land degradation

Land degradation is a reality in Togo. According to figures put forward by the Ministry of the Environment, each year 4.14% of the land (nationally) succumb to the phenomenon. And it is in response to the problem that the Government launched last March, the Program of definition of the national targets on neutrality in land degradation (PDC / NDT).
