There are many worthy Togolese sons, torn from the affections of the Togolese people. In a message, Edem Kodjo, founder of Pax Africana hails the memory of the illustrious disappeared of Togo and the whole world.
From music to sport through the showbiz, people who have left their mark on the fine sand of history, are Eklu Nattey, Basile Adewussi, Kpalongo, Mawuko Dogbo and so on.
"At the national level, Togolese Culture and, in particular, the music and defense sector of the actors of the showbiz have lost in Basil Adewussi (recalled to God on 02 July last) a proven talent. The late Adewussi joined Ablodévi Eklu-Nattey, an outstanding actor, in the '' Pantheon '' discreet but very effective actors who have worked actively for the development of our culture, "the statement reads.
And to continue "models to boast to the new generations. Just like John Codjo Messan alias Kpalongo, Togolese international boxer, 4 times African champion and vice-world champion in his category. Or the eminent composer Isaac Yao Mawuko Dogbo who always knew how to dazzle us.
The founder of Pax Africana sees these disappearances as invaluable losses to Togo as they were the torchbearer of this nation. Music and sport are "fields of activity that are in the contemporary world of real industries that generate invaluable resources and sell the image of our African states on the planet", one more reason to value them and support.
