An international meeting on media regulation scheduled in Lomé



According to Pitang Tchalla, president of the High Authority for Audiovisual and Communication (HAAC), Lomé will host by January 2018 an international seminar on the regulation of communication during an election period.


HAAC officials discuss with the media regulators how to regulate communication during the next year's elections (legislative and local).

The opportunity will be to re-examine all issues and practices related to the coverage and dissemination of election information. It should be noted that the holding of this meeting in the Togolese capital is a choice of the Network of African Regulatory Authorities (RIARC), said the president of the High Authority of Audiovisual and Communication (HAAC).

Togo now has its plan to combat land degradation

Land degradation is a reality in Togo. According to figures put forward by the Ministry of the Environment, each year 4.14% of the land (nationally) succumb to the phenomenon. And it is in response to the problem that the Government launched last March, the Program of definition of the national targets on neutrality in land degradation (PDC / NDT).
