Georges Manneh Weah, a living legend of football, reconverted into politics and especially candidate for the next presidential election of his country, Liberia, was received by Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé on August 15th.
Officially, the former star, senator and head of the Liberian delegation to the parliament of ECOWAS, would have explained that he had come to Togo to discuss with the president of the community institution on current issues, notably the presidential election In his country, scheduled for 10 October 2017.
For this election, Georges Weah, is the candidate of the CDC (Congress for Democratic Change).
In 2005, he was beaten by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. The latter came to the end of its two constitutional mandates. And the Golden Ball 1995 wants to try his luck again.
