Togolese Diaspora Independent DTI
Message from the Independent Togolese Diaspora to Political Parties, Civil Society Organizations,

Togolese Security Forces The Independent Togolese Diaspora is an association of Togolese Diaspora Togolese organized on a Decentralized network to facilitate the organization of collective actions to support the democracy and self-determination of the Togolese people.

The Togolese Diaspora is multifaceted and can not be on the fringes of the Togolese people's will to move towards self-determination, freedom and the return of a democracy from the truth of the ballot box.

In order to enable the DTI to better support the actions of political parties, civil society organizations and associations fighting for credible alternatives and political alternation based on democracy, it becomes essential to rediscover the unity of actions of Political parties attached to a peaceful alternation in Togo. Therefore, we ask all political parties to be wise.

The DTI will act as mediator and lobby with our host countries to support the common cause. Indeed, the main role of the Independent Togolese Diaspora, wherever it exists, is to help support the joint actions of the Togolese political leaders who organize collectively for the alternation in Togo.

The Constitutional, Institutional and Electoral Reforms have been repeatedly rejected by the ruling power on the basis of arbitrariness. The various manifestations of the main leaders of the parties of the alternation are to be praised even if we bow to honor the memory of those who died for the freedom and the democracy in Togo. We express our sympathy for all the wounded and even those who are subjected to arbitrary retaliation by the RPT / UNIR regime.

We, the members of the DTI, ask all the other political parties engaged in a genuine struggle for the peaceful and democratic alternation in Togo to support the many forms of organization of the popular mobilization to succeed in a refounding of Togo.

Togo is a common good of all. That the parties that support the efforts of the people who have massively followed the call of courageous Togolese political leaders to organize and plan mobilization struggles meet and propose an expanded platform integrating the Independent Togolese Diaspora.

DTI also wants press conferences to take place on a common basis in order to confirm the unity of action and facilitate national and international coordination of Togo's refounding actions and the improvement of the welfare of the Togolese people in Justice and peace.

Long live the Togolese people who renew the culture of the fight for freedom!

On behalf of the various members of the Togolese Independent Diaspora network in the world.

The General Coordination of the Independent Togolese Diaspora.

Jean-Pierre Akoété Balikpo

Secretary General

Ibeji (Twins) In Yoruba land, one of the most important things done when a child is born is to give the child a name. This comes after the child’s ritual birth, massage of specific body parts and other rites as well. Names are given to the child by the father, mother, grandparents (paternal and maternal) and some close relatives also. But sometimes, the circumstance of a child’s birth will automatically give the child a name. This name is known as ‘orúko àmútọ̀runwá’ (pre-destined or generic name) in Yorubaland. The most common generic names (orúko àmútọ̀runwá) in Yoruba land are ‘Taiwo‘ and ‘Kehinde‘ (altogether known as Ìbejì) which are given to twins. John XII: The Pope who turned the Vatican to a Whorehouse

Octavianus was only 18 years old when he ascended the Papacy of the Roman Catholic Church and became Pope John XII on December 16, 955. He was the only son of Duke Alberic II (932–954) of Spoleto, then ruler of Rome. Alberic, before his death in 954, made Roman nobles swear at St. Peter's altar that they would make his son, Octavianus, pope at the first vacancy. Since the leaders loved the dying father, they kept their word to him and elected Octavianus as the 130th Roman Catholic Pope succeeding Pope Agapetus II after the pope’s death on November 8, 955. Octavianus adopted the apostolic name of John XII. He was the third pontiff to take a regnal name upon elevation to the papal chair; the first being Pope John II (533–535), whose birth name was Mercurius and the second, Pope John III (561–574), whose birth name was Catelinus. Right from the start, in relation to secular issues, the new pope issued his directives under the name of Octavianus, while in all matters relating t...
