From waste to electrical energy, this will be done by a center to be built in Glèkopé, a town about 100 kilometers north-west of Lomé, in the prefecture of Agou. The construction project was validated on 10 August.
This center will be responsible for the treatment of household waste in the locality. It will be built on 12 hectares and will include a reception and waste incineration center, housing, a laboratory and compensatory reforestation areas.
The main objective of this project is to destroy the waste, thus reducing the dumping of wild waste and bringing electricity to this village.
For the Director of the National Agency for Environmental Management (ANGE-Togo), Koffi Adadji, it is important to correct the impact that man has on the environment before the actual implementation of the project.
