The opposition says: the referendum is to mobilized people!

Once at the point of arrival at the BKS intersection, the militants of the opposition coalition, Agoè Group, did not fail to mark a final pause of the day, to listen to the declaration bearing the claims of the "people ".

We know them almost all; but essentially the first point, which is the return to the original constitution of 14 October 1992. Then, the revision of the electoral framework including the establishment of the right to vote of Togolese living abroad. But also the unlocking of the institutions of the republics

Also solidarity, the demonstrators mobilized behind their leaders, have a firm thought for their compatriots arrested and thrown into prison, all over Togo. Thus, the statement of the opposition also calls for the release of all my political prisoners and all persons detained following the demonstrations on 19 and 20 August 2017 .

Regarding the referendum which is on the horizon, the opposition places its word:

We learned yesterday in the media that the MEPs adopted in plenary the draft law (which does not specify that " no case can be made more than two mandates "Editor's note) which will be submitted to the referendum. Faure Gnassingbé believes he can, through this new trick, deceive again the view and save time by announcing a hypothetical results known in advance due to the perversity of an electoral system entirely under government control have they revealed to the demonstrators.

Unanimously, opposition officials maintain that a referendum would be a bone of contention, since the electoral rules are not transparent, "institutions locked in the service of the regime".

Why refer to the referendum and create spending in the country when the people are already saying what they want? they arise.

Creation of Commons: Togo on embers / Strong tensions in Wawa and Zio

Since the new "controversial" law on decentralization has been passed by the parliamentary majority RPT / UNIR, tension is mounting in the communities. Wrong cadres (belonging to the ruling party, ed) of these localities make use of this law according to their desiderata, thus creating frustrations within the populations. When the people of Klabe-Efoukpa and Okou are at loggerheads in the Wawa prefecture, the tone increases and hardens between Mission Tové and Kovié. In the maneuvers, power brokers are mentioned.  When it unilaterally launched the process of decentralization and fanciful creation of the communes, the power blinded by an electoral vision did not see the danger coming. Despite the warnings, the regime refused to listen to reason. The government has cut down on existing communities, which in particular engenders. "The dissolution of the capital cities of the prefectures in a nebula of communes created for electoral purposes". "In addition, ...
