All the agents of the Togo-Benin border police station in Hilacondji have been bribed for corruption. It is through a memorandum dated Friday 09 June last issued by the National Police of Benin.
After the household, this decision appoints at the head of the command of the said Commissariat, the Commissioner of Police Ghislaine Bocovo. The latter is now responsible for setting the record straight at the border.
Indeed, Togolese and Benin police officers in Hilacondji are often blamed for racking the population. Some of them are bribed by malicious people, which explains the porosity of these two borders.
A good example that the Togolese Minister in charge of Security, Yark Damehame, should follow to limit corruption in the ranks of his security forces.
