03 June 2007-03 June 2017, ten years ago, Togolese football was struck by a drama.

While the national team had achieved a resounding feat against Sierra Leone's Lone Stars, part of the delegation was the victim of a helicopter crash in Lungi, Sierra Leone, which killed 22 people, including 13 Togolese.

On this sad anniversary day, I bow before the memory of these illustrious martyrs of Togolese football.

10 years after this tragedy, I appeal once again to a collective awareness in the Togolese sporting world in order to honor for ever the memory of our brave fellow countrymen while defending the honor of the mother country.

I also urge the authorities to accede to the grievances of the relatives of the victims, in this case the erection of the stele to immortalize the memory of the illustrious disappeared.

And it is in response to the problem that the Government launched last March, the Program of definition of the national targets on neutrality in land degradation (PDC / NDT). On Thursday in Lomé, environmental experts validated a document that will serve as a blueprint for sustainable land management in Togo.
