Press release from CIT Communication
In the last few days, there has been a situation between salespeople commonly known as VM (Motorized Sellers) and management.
CIT Communication is the Master of distribution of the product Togocel in zone 1 of Lomé
Our objective is to ensure the distribution of the product in our zone.
Indeed, the salesmen of the zone have introduced a platform of grievances on which we were negotiating. At the same time, they submitted a strike notice to count on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
Discussions were underway when, suddenly, on Saturday, June 03, 2017, they stopped working, even before the date of their strike.
Since we have an obligation to ensure the availability of the product on the ground; And to avoid the shortage costing our contract with the Togo Cellular Company, we have made arrangements so that the product is available at the points of sale for the final consumers.
Until there is evidence to the contrary, and in time we make public this release, no commercial is so far dismissed because the discussions continue.
CIT communication wishes to make it clear that striking salespeople are not employees of Togo Cellulaire.
Management wished to apologize to the consumers of the Zone for all the inconveniences caused by this situation.
Done at Lomé on 8 June 2017.
The Director General
SOSSOU Dégué Koffi.
