Chinese officials to visit Lome soon

Cooperation between China and Togo is growing stronger. A delegation of parliamentarians from the "Middle Kingdom" led by Li Jianguo, vice-president and secretary general of the National People's Congress (NPC, equivalent to the National Assembly) is expected in Lomé in the coming days.

A series of talks with the President of the Assembly, Dama Dramani and with the various parliamentary groups is already on the agenda of this visit, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two parliaments.

Surely with the President of the Togolese National Assembly, Dama Dramani, the elected Chinese will evoke the construction of the new headquarters of the institution. The result of Sino-Togolese cooperation, with a total cost of 12 billion FCFA.

The construction of the building is entrusted to the Chinese company Jiangsu Nantong No. 3 Construction Group which is expected to deliver it in July 2018.

Togo now has its plan to combat land degradation

Land degradation is a reality in Togo. According to figures put forward by the Ministry of the Environment, each year 4.14% of the land (nationally) succumb to the phenomenon. And it is in response to the problem that the Government launched last March, the Program of definition of the national targets on neutrality in land degradation (PDC / NDT).
