According to the Visa Opening Index initiated by the African Development Bank in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the World Economic Forum, Togo is the 3rd most open country for African travelers .
The ranking is made according to the level of openness of African countries in relation to the requirements imposed on the citizens of the continent to obtain an entry visa in another African country.
It refers to countries that facilitate the travel of nationals of other African countries, if African citizens are allowed to enter other territories without a visa, if they can obtain on arrival or if they must have the visa Before traveling.
In the ranking, the Seychelles remain at the top of the countries offering visa-free entry for all Africans. Uganda is in second place when Togo comes in third.
"A liberal visa policy in Africa can contribute to an African integration centered on individuals and provide opportunities for travel, trade, leisure, education and employment for all Africans," said Akinwumi Adesina, President Of the ADB.
