The African polling agency better known by its English name "Center for Research and Opinion Polls (CROP)", proceeded Thursday in Lomé to the publication and dissemination of the 6th series of its Afrobarometer survey.
Under the theme: "The Togolese judicial system between popular discomfiture and perceptions of corruption (sic)", this study sought to answer the question of how the Togolese perceive their judicial system?
According to Hervé AKINOCHO, the national director of the CROP, the results show that people have very little confidence in the justice of their country and also think that their judges are "corrupt". "Almost half the population thinks judges and magistrates are corrupt," he said.
