UEMOA: Conference on Employment and Vocational Training to be held in Lomé


Experts from the UEMOA countries on employment and vocational training will hold the 8th Conference of Ministers responsible for the area. It is in the coming months in the capital Lome.


For the first time, Togo will host this conference under the theme "pooling resources for training and employment promotion, a guarantee of integration and professional mobility in space". According to the organizers, it will be a matter of taking stock of the state of implementation of the various recommendations and decisions of previous meetings.

The previous meetings took place in 2010 in Mali, in 2011 in Guinea-Bissau, in 2012 in Niger, in 2013 in Benin, in 2014 in Senegal, in 2015 in Côte d'Ivoire and in 2016 in Mali.

Already, the Permanent Secretariat of the Framework of Consultation of the ministers in charge of employment and vocational training of the UEMOA area sets out its expectations of these conferences that house Togo.

For the Permanent Secretary of the Framework of Consultation of Ministers in charge of Employment and Vocational Training of the UEMOA area, Maxient Djeigo, Lomé will be the opportunity to address issues related to the information system on the labor market. And more specifically to the empowerment of national observatories of employment and vocational training, the establishment of the subregional observatory and finally the minimum list of indicators to be provided by each country.

Also, it foresees the effective implementation of the platform of tools and resources of vocational training.

John XII: The Pope who turned the Vatican to a Whorehouse

Octavianus was only 18 years old when he ascended the Papacy of the Roman Catholic Church and became Pope John XII on December 16, 955. He was the only son of Duke Alberic II (932–954) of Spoleto, then ruler of Rome.
