Togo and Germany have a history that can not be obliterated. From 1914 to 1922, the two countries shared many experiences that academics decided to revisit through a colloquium.
Initiated by the History and German Departments of the Universities of Lomé (Togo) and Tours (France), the colloquium is organized under the theme "Continuity of Empire? From German colonization to French and British colonization in Africa and In Togo ".
This will be the opportunity, according to Essoham ASSIMA-KPATCHA, to elucidate the shadow zones in order to better understand the history of Togo during the German colonization.
It will be essentially a reflection on the historical issues of Togo-German covering the period from 1914 to 1922 through 4 workshops, including the workshop on epistemological and methodological issues.
