The second edition of the "Integration Week" keeps its promise. Monday in Lomé, the minister in charge of the Civil Service, Gilbert Bawara, kicked off the festivities. And it was in the presence of the diplomatic corps accredited to Togo.
Under the theme: "A United Africa, Solidarity, Integration", this celebration brings together all the African communities established in Togo to discuss various themes and to share their different cultures.
For this 2017 edition, the main focus is on African youth and the challenges of integration.
At the opening ceremony, Minister Gilbert Bawara, representing his counterpart for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and African Integration, in his keynote speech highlighted the efforts made in Africa at the national level, Regional and subregional levels to make integration a reality.
According to him, Togo is a country of welcome and hospitality. And the Togolese government spares no effort to strengthen solidarity among peoples in peace, security and harmony

After the conference-debates marking the first day yesterday, this Wednesday, May 24 will be devoted to culture within the Foreign Ministry.
On the program, folk dances of the troops of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Chad and Togo and the tasting of African dishes.
It should be noted that this 2nd edition of the African Integration Week is part of the celebration of the 54th anniversary of the African Union.
