The new Togo Phosphate Company (SNPT) will again be paralyzed for five days, from 6 to 10 June 2017. Its staff is preparing to go on strike.
After a series of strikes, the SNPT management and the employees had reached an agreement signed in September 2016. Since then, the lines have not moved in the main, they regret.
"The staff inform you that they are obliged to observe a collective and collective termination of work of five (05) days, starting from Tuesday June 06, 2017 at 05 hours 00", specify the strikers in a note Of notice to their Director-General Michel Kézié.
The staff of this state-owned company is demanding better living and working conditions. The various disengagement they initiated did not bear the fruits they expect.
Although an agreement was signed by the parties at the end of 2016, with a moratorium not to go on strike for four years, workers now feel that their lives are above all things.
