The Togolese Solidarity in Lebanon is grateful!

The Togolese Solidarity in Lebanon (STL), following its plea in favor of the Togolese compatriots in Lebanon, received a great mobilization of the winners of Diaspora Successes, in collaboration with the embassy of Togo in France, under the aegis of the Togolese government .

This allowed the Consul General of Togo in Paris, Mr. Sani Koumai to go to Lebanon, and to place himself at the disposal of the Togolese compatriots in this country in a state of distress. The Honorary Consul of Togo in Lebanon is still not official, but he has nevertheless deigned to offer his offices located in Kaslik (Lebanon), to serve as a working environment for his peer from Paris, while joining his experience on Lebanese soil And its mastery of the living conditions of Togolese compatriots in Lebanon for the success of this mission. Mr. Ammar Elias mainly supported this mission financially.

In the upstream, the 7 laureates of Success Diaspora, in this case Mr. Koffi Toulabo and Mr. Christian Agbobli, who relayed the cries of pain of the Togolese community in this country of the Middle East, thus obtaining the support of the Head of The State that would have put its ministers in charge of foreign affairs and that of the Security on the file.

As a result, Togolese nationals in Lebanon in an irregular situation were able to compile the files and send them to Lomé under the supervision of the Consul General of Togo in Paris for the establishment of the passport, a document sine qua non for the regularization of their Situations on Lebanese soil.

The STL welcomes all the actors who have made this process work, which individually would have cost less than US $ 2,000 (round-trip ticket to Togo, other expenses not including administrative formalities for individual renewal his passport).

It also reveals that the nationals of other countries in Lebanon have admired the tact of the Togolese and since then seek to follow the same approach in order to unblock their fate. The STL adds: "Those who will be in possession of their renewed passports in the days to come, do not already know which words to thank you for."

The Togolese Solidarity in Lebanon is grateful to all those compatriots who have donated everything to assist the Togolese community in Lebanon. She recalled that Ammar Elias was still awaiting his formalization with the Togolese government.

It is therefore an opportunity for the Togolese in Lebanon to again solicit the assistance of Faure Gnassingbé for the regularization of the situation of the Togolese consul in Lebanon.
